Update: Arrest Made in Homicide Investigation: 400 Block of Lake Tower Drive

Investigators have made an arrest in reference to this incident. Ronald Ivan Scott, a 33-year-old Hampton man, has been arrested and charged with one count of Murder and one count of Arson. Scott was taken into custody in Orlando, Florida, and remains in custody at the Orange County Jail. The Hampton Police Division extends our gratitude to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in this arrest. There is no mugshot available at this time.

Investigators have upgraded this incident to a homicide investigation. The victim has been identified as Joshua Emmanuel Owusu-Koramoah, a 23-year-old Hampton man. The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information to release at this time.

The Hampton Police Division is conducting a death investigation in reference to an incident that occurred on April 5, 2022.

At approximately 9:57 a.m., Public Safety Communications received a call in reference to a deceased person in the 400 block of Lake Tower Drive. Upon arrival, officers and members of the Hampton Division of Fire and Rescue located an adult male victim who was deceased inside of the residence, as well as evidence of a fire inside of the home.

The manner and cause of death remain under investigation, and there is no further information to disseminate at this time.
