Update posted on June 28, 2019 at 9:20 a.m.:

The Hampton Police Division is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Cyndekah Zyeir Evans-Wilson in connection with a homicide that occurred on May 12, 2019.

Cyndekah Evans-Wilson, an 18-year-old Hampton man also known as “Bobby”, currently has warrants on file for one count of Murder, one count of Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony, and one count of Possession of a Firearm by a Juvenile. He is considered armed and dangerous. See incident details below in initial press release.

The Hampton Police Division has charged Kaleb Nicol in connection with a homicide that occurred on May 12, 2019.

Nicol, an 18-year-old Hampton man, was charged with one count of Murder on June 25, 2019. Nicol was previously charged with three counts of Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling in regards to this incident (see details below). He remains in custody at the Hampton Roads Regional Jail. Nicol’s mug shot is available below.

Update posted on May 30, 2019 at 12:25 p.m.:

The Hampton Police Division has arrested Kaleb Nicol in connection with a homicide that occurred on May 12, 2019.

Nicol, an 18-year-old Hampton man, was arrested on May 29, 2019 in Virginia Beach, VA. He has been charged with three counts of Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling. He remains in custody at the Hampton City Jail.

The Hampton Police Division extends our gratitude to the Virginia Beach Police Department for their assistance in the successful apprehension of Kaleb Nicol.

This case remains under investigation.

The Hampton Police Division is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Kaleb Nicol in connection with a homicide that occurred on May 12, 2019.

Nicol, an 18-year-old Hampton man, currently has warrants on file for three counts of Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling. There is no photo available.

Nicol, also known as “Patch”, is a white male, 5'4, 110 lbs, brown hair and brown eyes. Nicol is possible occupying a white 2000 Nissan pick-up truck with oversized tires and a silver toolbox affixed to the rear.

This incident remains under investigation.

Initial press release posted on May 12, 2019 at 5:01 a.m.:

The Hampton Police Division is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect in connection with a homicide that occurred on May 12, 2019.

At 2:40 a.m., Public Safety Communications received a call in reference to a fight in progress in the area of Nickerson Boulevard and Bridgeport Cove. While in route, the call was upgraded to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, Cedric Bryant Carter, a 22 year-old Hampton man, in the roadway suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced deceased on scene by first responders.

The motive and circumstances surrounding this incident remain under investigation, and there is no suspect information to disseminate at this time.
