Maiming Investigation: 1st Block of Butler Drive

The Hampton Police Division is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect(s) in connection with a shooting that occurred on April 15, 2024.

At approximately 9:36 p.m., Hampton Public Safety Communications received a call in reference to a shooting that occurred in the 1st block of Butler Drive. The victim, a 38-year-old, Hampton man was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The preliminary investigation revealed, the victim was exiting his vehicle when the unknown suspect(s) pulled up in a vehicle and started firing towards the victim. The victim was transported to a local hospital by members of the Hampton Division of Fire and Rescue with non-life-threatening injuries. The circumstances and relationship between the victim and suspect(s) are unknown at this time. Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit are currently investigating this incident.
