Shooting Investigation: 1st Block of Tabatha Circle

The Hampton Police Division is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect(s) in connection to a shooting that occurred on April 28, 2024.

At approximately 11:17 p.m., Public Safety Communications received multiple calls in reference to gunshots heard in the 1st block of Tabatha Circle. Officers were dispatched to the area where they located an adult male suffering from a single gunshot wound inside of a residence. He was transported to a local hospital to be treated for a non-life threatening injury.

The preliminary investigation has revealed that the victim was asleep inside of the residence when an unknown suspect(s) approached the residence in a vehicle and fired multiple shots towards the residence. The victim was struck as a result. One unoccupied vehicle was also struck however, there were no additional reported injuries as a result of this incident.

The motive and circumstances surrounding this incident remain under investigation by members of the Hampton Police Major Crimes Unit.
