Homicide Investigation: 400 Block of Marion Road

The victim has been identified as Christopher Andra Vinson, a 40-year-old Hampton man.

The victim of the shooting has succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital. This has been upgraded to a homicide investigation. Victim’s identification is being withheld pending next-of-kin notification.

The Hampton Division is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects in connection with a shooting investigation that occurred on August 31, 2023.

This evening at approximately 3:28 p.m., Hampton Communications received multiple calls for a shooting in the 400 block of Marion Road. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male outside suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital by members of the Hampton Division of Fire and Rescue.

The motive and circumstances surrounding this incident remain under investigation. There is no suspect information to be disseminated at this time.
