Shooting Investigation: 900 Block of Langley Avenue

The Hampton Police Division is investigating a shooting that occurred on August 5, 2019.

At approximately 12:48 a.m., Public Safety Communications received a call in reference to a shooting in the 1000 block of Quash Street. Upon arrival, officers located a 39-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. His injuries were determined to be non-life threatening.

The preliminary investigation has revealed that the victim was walking in the 900 block of Langley Avenue when he was struck by gunfire. The victim then ran to a nearby residence on Quash Street where emergency services were contacted. There were no other injuries reported as a result of this incident.

The motive and circumstances surrounding this incident remain under investigation, and there is no suspect information to disseminate at this time.
