Shooting Investigation: Jordan Drive and Roxbury Terrace

The Hampton Police Division is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect(s) in connection with a shooting that occurred on April 12, 2024.

At approximately 2:03 p.m., Public Safety Communications received a call in reference to gunshots fired in the area of Jordan Drive and Roxbury Terrace. While officers were in the area investigating, a second call was received in reference to a walk-in gunshot victim at the Sentara CarePlex. The victim, an adult Newport News man, is being treated for life-threatening injuries.

The preliminary investigation has revealed that the victim was in the aforementioned area when the unknown suspect(s) began firing towards the victim. The victim subsequently returned fire and was injured during the exchange of gunfire. He was transported to the Sentara CarePlex by personal vehicle. There were no additional reported injuries or property damage as a result of this incident. There is no suspect information to disseminate at this time and the motive and circumstances surrounding this incident remain under investigation.
